park encounter

This couple was very cute – they stopped to thank me for bringing the dogs to the park. Apparently every time they come to the park, they count the dogs as they walk along the paths (Freyja and Angus made numbers 18 and 19).

In crow news, I’m sad to report that it appears the babies are no more. I haven’t heard a peep from the nest and the parents haven’t approached it at all lately. We do have owls and hawks and it’s just a fact of nature that predators seek out prey. I did, however, spy both parent crows gathering nesting materials this morning. I don’t know if this means they’ll build a new nest and try again? I see a visit to the official crow manual (aka “google”) in my future.
